The company officially opened a new App Accelerator in Bangalore, India. The announcement comes less than a year after the company announced plans to open iOS App Design and Development Accelerator also in India’s Silicon Valley.

The company hopes to offer specialized support to developers as well as tools to help push the boundaries. The expert in a group will provide one-on-one support app review to the developers. Throughout the year, developers can attend the Presentation and Labs led by the experts on the latest Apple technologies. This is one of the kind facility provided by the company where there is already tens of thousand of developers developing apps and publishing it on Apple Store.

“We are impressed by the great entrepreneurial spirit in India, and are excited to provide a platform for these developers to share their innovations with customers around the world,” said Phil Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing in a press statement.

“The new App Accelerator provides a unique opportunity to get inspired by learning about the latest advances in Apple platforms directly from Apple experts in Bengaluru, India. We’ll show you how to take advantage of the powerful capabilities in iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS—so you can create your most innovative apps yet.”

Practo and Reliance Games are some of the few developers group which visited in just the first few weeks. These developers have an ability to provide the customers in India and around the world with some innovative apps.
Over past few years, Apple has grown more focus on India. In addition to setting up development centers, the company is also about to begin manufacturing locally in the nation, a move that would allow it to cut the prices of the iPhones for the Indian market.

As Apple is pushing hard to turn India into next major market, it will pay in the long run to have the quality app that solves many local problems on Apple Store. Apple is not the first company to launch the developer’s community in India, rivals like Facebook, Google and Microsoft have already started there work in India. They might have found the potential in Indian developers before Apple but at least for now Apple has started recognizing India.
